The choir is taking a well-deserved break during July and August and, per tradition, will return the second Sunday of September.
On Sunday, July 8th, UNITED IN HARMONY will be singing during the 10:15 worship service. United in Harmony began as a men’s quartet and now includes at least 20 members from the Bucyrus-Crawford County area. It is primarily an a cappella group.
In the beginning their purpose was to provide music during the summer when church choirs are on vacation, but through the years they have expanded their performances for multiple events including opening for the Cleavland Indians and the Cleveland Cavalier ball games.
Terry Burkhardt, who grew up in our church, is an original member of the group. Following his career as a mechanical engineer he answered the call to become a United Methodist minister. Currently, he serves the Claridon UM Church and the Memorial UM church of Caledonia. Along with his sister, Cheryl Burkhadrt, it will be a delight to welcome him back to his home on church that Sunday!
